Our Guiding Principles

01
Witness
Witness to Christ over ourselves.

Our great aspiration is that in all we do we are a better reflection of Jesus than of ourselves.
02
Increase
Leave it better than you found it.

Simply, we believe in investing our knowledge and energy into others. This allows our effort to multiply in the lives of those around us.
03
Perspective
People over product.

The ability to see what truly matters. Like Jesus we want our focus to be on people and not on programs, equipment, money or time.

About Motion College

Our Desire
The dream is for those feeling drawn to a deeper relationship with God, bivocational or full-time ministry would have access to an affordable and practical ministry training program.
Our Method
Training in the practice of Christian life and ministry is a natural extention of the local church. We believe true lasting growth will be achieved by learning and serving in a thriving community.
Lead by Pastors Jonny and Bryar Strutt
Moving here in 2016, with their three teenage children from Ontario, with a motivation to reach the city with the gospel. They have led the church in belief that Kamloops is saveable. Their style is empowerment, their worship is passionate, their foundation is Jesus and His word.
Our Hope
Motion Church’s vision is to plant one hundred campuses, starting locally and ultimately spreading across Canada. Our hope is that each student that goes through Motion College will carry this vision to see the communities they are involved in saved.

About Motion Church

Founded in 1975
Over 40 years ago founding Pastors Andrew and Evelyn Picklyk answered the call to plant a church rooted in devotion to the truth written in scripture and a dedication to passionate worship of Jesus.
Located in Kamloops, British Columbia
Nestled in the hill country of the high desert, Kamloops is station at the confluence of the Thompson River's north and south branches. In the summer months we are met with dry warmth and in winter a mild snowy climate.

Beliefs

God
We believe in the existence of one true God who has revealed Himself to this world as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit through the Word of God and the person of Jesus Christ. We believe that God created humans to have a relationship with Him. We believe that God the Father cares deeply for all of humanity, and desires for each and every person to find their way back to a restored relationship with Him through Jesus. God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal parts of one God. Genesis 1:1, Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 3:22, Psalm 90:2, Matthew 28:19, 1 Peter 1:2, 2 Corinthians 13:14
Jesus
We believe that the best decision you could ever make is to follow Jesus. It is only Jesus, through his death and resurrection, that makes our relationship with God the Father possible. Jesus alone has mediated "for us and has made us right with God...", by forgiving us from all sin and inviting us into a life inspired and shaped by His unconditional love and grace. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, co-equal with the Father and Holy Spirit. Jesus left heaven to become fully human and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven and will return again to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Matthew 1:22-23, Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1-5, John 14:10-30, Hebrews 4:14-15,1 Corinthians15:3-4, Romans 1:3-4, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Timothy 6:14-15, Titus 2:13
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit exists as a third unique expression of God. Holy Spirit draws people to belief and faith in Jesus. The Holy Spirit also strengthens and gives power to those who follow Jesus as we learn to grow in our faith. Holy Spirit works in tandem with our human spirit, inspiring and equipping us to walk out our faith. The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son, as God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every believer from the moment of salvation. He provides Christians with understanding of spiritual truth, power for living, and guidance in doing what is right. Christians seek to live under His control daily.   2 Corinthians 3:17, John 16:7-13, John 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 2:12, 1 Corinthians 3:16, Ephesians 1:13, Galatians 5:25, Ephesians 5:18
